Your Ideal Holiday Cottage

Longhedge is an end of terrace stone cottage in the centre of the village of Minions.  The cottage is full of traditional character and charming features such as the open fireplace and exposed beams, while offering all the modern day comforts you would expect at home like a dishwasher and wifi.  It boasts an attractive south facing walled garden that is equipped with garden furniture and is perfect as a safe play area for young children.  There is private parking for at least 2 cars on the driveway.  The cottage can sleep up to 6 adults (and an additional 4 children) having 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Heating, bed linen, towels and all utilities are included.

Minions is a beautiful village, a stone’s throw from the tourist hotspots of the cornish coast. It has a village shop and a pub right opposite. The moor is immediately behind the house, as is the famous “Hurlers” standing stone circles, the Cheesewring rock formation and numerous mine buildings and historical sites. Further afield, the Stannery town of Liskeard is a short drive or cycle ride (downhill, obviously), the famous Trago Mills provides many more shopping opportunities. There are numerous local sites to visit, including a watersports activity and fly-fishing lake, Siblyback. The house is well placed for access to the Eden project (35 mins), the seaside towns of Fowey and Looe (20 mins) and many other local places of interest. The National Trust properties of Lanhydrock, Cothele and Anthony House are close by and the North Cornish coast is less than an hour away, where you will find places such as Padstow, Rock and Tintagel. The Minions moorland, particularly its mining heritage, is a major film location and can be seen in series such as Poldark, Doc Martin and Jamaca Inn as well the Tim Burton film “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children”.
