An Introduction to Longhedge
At 150 years old Longhedge was originally a mine worker’s cottage situated on the west of the tramway to South Phoenix mine. Today the mine workers and the tramway have gone, but the location remains the same: backing onto moorland, in the centre of Minions, a haven for walkers and the perfect place for a relaxing break enjoying the beauty and seclusion of the moor or as a base for exploring the wonderful county of Cornwall.

Everything you would expect from a traditional cottage in Cornwall
Our stay was short however we enjoyed it tremendously. The cottage delivered on every count, everthing you would expect from a traditional miners cottage from the 1860’s with many original features.
Lovely welcome pack from the owner Sue with lovely Cornish products and homemade scones to enjoy.Chris
Everything about this place and our host was fantastic.
The combination of being on the moor and able to go for a walk without getting in a car, and being only a few steps from the neighborhood pub, was FANTASTIC.
The kitchen was filled with all the cooking and serving items we needed and the welcome basket was filled with the most delicious goodies.
Plenty seating in both the living room and the dining room.
The fireplaces were wonderful, as we were there in December.
Unreservedly recommend staying here!
Amazing time. A great place in a great location.Dorian
This place is definitely one you should visit. Not just for a stay but the area itself is just wonderful. The house kept in a great condition and you can find anything you need. We’ve been welcomed by a great greeting and the host was understanding with our late check out. Thanks again!! I will definitely choose this house again!Ji Seon
Had a really nice time with friends. The cottage is located in a rural area and we stayed only for three nights, therefore didn’t have enough time to explore the local area. But looks ideal for walks. The landlord was very friendly and helpful. Lovely old looking cottage.Shamilla
Stayed here a few weeks ago with some friends and family, so much space to enjoy we loved it. I needed to relax and recharge and that’s just what I got exploring the amazing nature of Bodmin Moor on the doorstep. Great place and friendly people.Paul
